Ankara, Nov 02 (V7N)- Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya to discuss the current situation in Gaza, the ceasefire, and the urgent need for humanitarian aid, the Ankara administration confirmed on Sunday.

In a related development, foreign ministers from several countries are gathering in Istanbul on Monday to discuss the next phase of the ceasefire agreement. Representatives from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan, Pakistan, and Indonesia are expected to attend.

Meanwhile, despite the ongoing ceasefire in Gaza, the United Nations has reported a significant shortfall in humanitarian aid access compared to commitments. While food distribution has increased slightly, the overall flow of aid remains severely limited.

The UN stated that only 149 trucks of goods were unloaded through the Gaza border crossing on Thursday, October 30, with deliveries hampered by the narrow Philadelphia Corridor and repeated delays by the Israeli military.
