Gaza, Nov 04 (V7N)- Israel has returned the remains of 45 more Palestinians to Gaza under the ongoing ceasefire agreement. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) handed over the bodies through the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) on Monday (November 3), according to a report by the Associated Press (AP).

So far, 270 bodies have been repatriated since the ceasefire took effect on October 10. Of these, 78 bodies have been identified by forensic teams. However, Gaza authorities said the remains have not yet been handed over to families.

Officials from the Gaza administration reported that many of the bodies showed signs of severe torture and injury, including bound hands and eyes, facial disfigurement, and deep wounds. The returned remains also lacked identification documents, making the process of identification more difficult.
