Washington, Mar 11 (V7N) – Around 150 US soldiers have been injured so far in the ongoing war with Iran, according to an exclusive report by Reuters published on Wednesday (March 11).

The report also claimed that eight US soldiers have been killed since the conflict began. Previously, the number of injured personnel had not been publicly disclosed.

Before the Reuters report was released, the Pentagon had stated that only eight US soldiers were seriously injured in the conflict. However, following the report, the Pentagon issued a statement acknowledging that around 140 soldiers had been injured, although most of the injuries were described as minor.

Pentagon spokesperson Sian Parnell said that 108 of the injured personnel have already returned to duty, while eight soldiers with severe injuries are receiving the highest level of medical treatment.

Officials noted that the majority of the wounded troops suffered non-life-threatening injuries, but the figures highlight the growing human cost of the conflict.
