In the wake of an Israeli missile strike on the Iranian consulate building in Syria, tensions have escalated in the Middle East as Hezbollah issues a warning of retaliation. Seyyed Hassan Nasrullah, the Secretary General of Hezbollah, has unequivocally stated that a retaliatory attack on Israeli interests or positions is inevitable in response to the aggression against the Iranian consulate.

Nasrullah emphasized that the timing, location, and intensity of Iran's retaliatory strike will be determined by Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and other Iranian leaders. He made these remarks during a speech commemorating World Quds Day on Friday, as reported by the Times of Israel.

The Hezbollah leader condemned Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's actions, labeling the attack on the Iranian consulate as a foolish move that could potentially end in Israel's defeat. Nasrullah also accused Israel of uncertainty in handling the situation in Gaza and expressed concerns over Israel's intentions towards Lebanon.

The Israeli missile strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus resulted in the death of at least seven individuals, including several Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) military advisers. In response, Tehran promptly issued threats of retaliation, prompting Israel to take precautionary measures such as evacuating embassies and closing consulates in various countries worldwide.

Iran has vowed to hold Israel accountable for its actions, stating that Israel will face the consequences for its aggression. The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel have raised concerns about the potential for further conflict in the region, with both sides bracing for possible retaliation and repercussions.
