In the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas has reiterated its stance on a ceasefire deal, stating that there will be no agreement with Israel without a ceasefire. This statement was released on Saturday (April 27) by Hamas officials.

According to reports, Tel Aviv has provided an official response to Hamas regarding the proposed ceasefire deal. The proposal, which was revised and sent on April 13 following negotiations facilitated by Egypt and Qatar, has been under review by both parties.

Hamas has indicated that it will carefully examine Tel Aviv's proposal, although it maintains its position that any deal must include a ceasefire. An Egyptian representative visited Israel on Friday to discuss the ongoing negotiations, signaling continued efforts to broker peace in the region.

However, an official from Tel Aviv, speaking anonymously, suggested that the Netanyahu administration has not made significant changes to the proposed ceasefire deal.

The conflict escalated on October 7 when Hamas launched an unprecedented raid in Israel, resulting in the capture of over 250 individuals who were taken hostage to Gaza. While hundreds were subsequently released under the terms of the ceasefire agreement, negotiations have stalled, leaving the remaining individuals in a state of limbo.

As tensions persist and negotiations continue, the situation remains fluid, with both sides closely monitoring developments in the hopes of reaching a resolution to the ongoing conflict.
