Senior Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, have already arrived at the meeting venue.
Other prominent leaders from the 'India' alliance reached Delhi by noon. These include Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav, RJD's Tejashwi Yadav, and several other alliance leaders. Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Banerjee is also participating in the meeting. The agenda is expected to include discussions on the next political steps and strategies to expand the scope of the alliance.
The 'India' alliance saw significant victories in key states during the recent elections. The Congress party alone secured 99 seats. The Samajwadi Party won 37 seats, while the Trinamool Congress secured 29 seats. Other allied parties collectively garnered 16 seats. The meeting is anticipated to focus on consolidating these gains and planning for future political moves.
