Baños de Agua Santa, June 17, 2024 — A catastrophic landslide has struck the South American country of Ecuador, claiming at least six lives and leaving 30 people missing in the town of Baños de Agua Santa. The disaster occurred following a day of heavy rainfall that caused the hillside to give way, covering roads and making transportation nearly impossible.
