Houthi fighters have claimed responsibility for attacks on a US destroyer and two other ships in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea. The group's spokesperson, Yahya Surrey, announced in a statement that the fighters conducted three operations involving ballistic and naval missile strikes, as well as a drone attack. This information was reported by Reuters.

According to Surrey, ballistic missiles were fired at the US destroyer, followed by a naval missile aimed at a ship named Captain Paris. Additionally, a vessel named Happy Kon-Dor was targeted with a drone attack. Details about the extent of the damage remain unknown.

Earlier reports from the UK's Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) confirmed that a ship experienced two explosions 40 nautical miles off the coast of Yemen. Fortunately, the crew remained unharmed, and although the journey was temporarily halted, it later resumed.

These attacks highlight the ongoing tensions and security threats in the region, posing significant risks to maritime operations in the Red Sea and Arabian Sea.
