WASHINGTON, Aug 21 (V&N)-Donald Trump is set to hold an outdoor rally on Wednesday at the North Carolina Aviation Museum in Asheboro. This will be his first open-air campaign event since an assassination attempt during a similar event in Butler, Pennsylvania, a month ago. The attempt left Trump with an ear injury and resulted in the death of a rally attendee.

In response, the Secret Service had recommended halting outdoor events. However, Trump has insisted on returning to open-air rallies, leading to enhanced security measures, including the use of bulletproof glass around the podium. The rally serves as a counter to the Democratic National Convention happening in Chicago, where Kamala Harris is set to be named the 2024 presidential nominee.

North Carolina, a key swing state, will play a significant role in the upcoming November 5 election.
