Myanmar, August 24 — In the remote mountainous regions of eastern Myanmar, volunteer members of the 'Bamar People's Liberation Army' are undergoing rigorous training to prepare for conflict against the military junta, as reported by the UK news agency Reuters.

The training program for this rebel group lasts three months and includes intense physical and mental exercises, as well as martial arts training conducted by skilled instructors. The training begins before sunrise and continues for 16 hours straight each day.

As the conflict in Myanmar continues, various armed rebel groups are mounting fierce resistance to end the military junta's rule. People from all walks of life in Myanmar are joining these groups to receive military training. Wei Lin, the deputy political officer of the Bamar People's Liberation Army, noted that the younger generation is particularly eager to participate in the training, driven by a strong spirit that he finds inspiring.

The ongoing conflict escalated in October last year when armed rebel groups launched 'Operation 1027' to overthrow Myanmar's military regime. Since then, intense fighting has continued between the rebels and the army over control of different parts of the country.

Analysts suggest that the lack of popular support for Myanmar's junta government may shorten its rule. David Scott Matheson, a conflict and human rights analyst specializing in Myanmar, commented, "The fire of freedom is burning among Myanmar's citizens. Junta forces are adding fuel to this fire by killing innocent people. They want a freedom where juntas do not exist. Resistance has increased several times. This madness is freedom."

Since the military coup in Myanmar in 2021, the country has been engulfed in conflict. Over the past three years, more than 4,000 civilians have lost their lives in the fighting between the military and insurgents.
