Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has rejected an offer made by the Palestinian independence movement Hamas on a cease-fire in Gaza. He said that in a few months, total victory will be established in Gaza. BBC news.

Hamas has proposed a three-phase, 135-day deal to end the war in Gaza. The proposal states that all Israelis held hostage by Hamas will be released. In return, Israel must withdraw all its troops from the besieged Valley and free Palestinian women and children.

Hamas made these conditions in response to an offer made last week by Qatari and Egyptian mediators for a cease-fire in Gaza. It is said to be the biggest diplomatic effort to end the conflict in five months since the start of the Israel-Hamas war.

However, Netanyahu referred to Hamas's proposal as an 'invention'. He said there was no solution other than a complete and final victory. If Hamas survives in Gaza, they will become a threat again later.
