A bus and CNG-run autorickshaw collided on Friday in the Barabila neighborhood of the Mymensingh district of Bangladesh, killing seven people—including a woman and her children.
The seven autorickshaw passengers were killed instantly when a passenger bus headed towards Nalitabari collided with an autorickshaw approaching from the opposite direction on the Mymensingh-Sherpur road in the Barabila area under the Mymensingh Sadar Upazila. Officer in Charge (OC) Mayeen Uddin of the Mymensingh Kotwali Model police station reported that the accident happened at approximately 11.30 am.
It was not immediately possible to determine the deceased's identity.
When the officer in charge (OC) learned of the situation, police and firefighters responded immediately, sending the remains to the morgue at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital so that an autopsy could be performed.
Police seized the bus.
