Dhaka, Oct 10 (V7N) — Energy Advisor Fawzul Kabir Khan announced that tenders for 40 renewable energy projects will be invited shortly as part of a broader effort to boost renewable energy production in Bangladesh. Speaking at a seminar on climate change at a hotel in the capital on Thursday morning, he emphasized that the tender process will be open to all.

The advisor highlighted the government's commitment to reducing carbon emissions to zero, placing a strong focus on sustainable initiatives to increase reliance on renewable energy sources. He noted that various companies are being contacted to engage in this large-scale initiative, aiming to significantly ramp up the country's renewable energy output.

During the event, EU Ambassador Michael Miller expressed the European Union's readiness to assist Bangladesh in ensuring a safe working environment in the garment sector, as well as promoting the use of green and renewable energy.

Additionally, the German ambassador mentioned that German businesses are interested in providing both economic investment and technical support to help Bangladesh produce and sustain low-cost renewable energy.
