Dhaka, Oct 11 (V7N)- The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) is on high alert to ensure that no rumors disrupt the peaceful celebration of Durga Puja , the largest religious festival for Bengali Hindus. RAB's Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman shared this during his visit to the pujamandap at DOHS , Baridhara, Dhaka, on Thursday afternoon.

The RAB chief emphasized that 15 battalions of the force are actively working to safeguard the 32,000 worship halls across the country. Each battalion has its own control room , ensuring thorough monitoring of the situation at all times.

Speaking to reporters, Rahman confirmed that no major issues have been reported outside the capital. In cases of isolated incidents, immediate legal action is being taken to maintain peace and security. He further expressed confidence that the Durga Puja celebrations will proceed in a festive and secure atmosphere throughout the country, as RAB remains vigilant.

The heightened security measures are part of a broader effort to ensure that worshippers can celebrate the festival without fear, and that any attempts to spread rumors or cause disturbances are swiftly dealt with.
