Dhaka, Oct 24 (V7N)- The government is committed to dismantling various syndicates and is planning to establish a special agricultural market in Nirmul. This announcement was made by Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, Advisor to the Ministry of Labor and Employment, during the inauguration of the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB)'s product sales program at Tejgaon in the capital on Thursday morning.

During his address, Bhuiyan emphasized that the government is taking active measures to address the rising prices of commodities, which have been affected by recent floods. “Reducing the price of goods is a special priority for the government,” he stated, highlighting the need to provide relief to consumers amidst escalating costs.

The advisor also reassured that the government would offer support to initiatives that facilitate the direct delivery of products from farmers or producers to consumers. “This will ensure fair pricing and accessibility for the people,” he added.

The TCB's product sales program is scheduled to continue until November 30. Bhuiyan warned that strict action would be taken against anyone found to be excessively inflating prices. He urged the public to remain vigilant against market syndicates that manipulate pricing to the detriment of consumers.

The government's efforts aim to create a more equitable market environment, providing necessary support to both consumers and producers in the face of economic challenges.
