Baku, Nov 14 (V7N)— Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh, is set to deliver a keynote address at the opening session of the World Leaders Climate Action Summit during the COP29 Conference in Baku. According to the press wing of the Chief Adviser, Dr. Yunus's address is scheduled between 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM Bangladesh time on Wednesday.

The COP29 summit, which began on November 11, is gathering global leaders in Azerbaijan's capital to discuss urgent climate action. Dr. Yunus is in Baku on a four-day visit dedicated to participating in the Climate Conference.

In addition to his address, Dr. Yunus held a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and First Lady Emine Erdogan at the COP29 venue. During their discussions, President Erdogan extended an invitation for Dr. Yunus to visit Türkiye and assured him of Turkey’s full support for Bangladesh’s journey toward substantial reforms and sustainable development. Dr. Yunus reciprocated by inviting President Erdogan and the First Lady to visit Bangladesh.

The COP29 summit is anticipated to set crucial climate action agendas, with Bangladesh represented by Dr. Yunus at the forefront of discussions on sustainable growth and environmental resilience.
