Dhaka, Nov 20 (V7N) – Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has urged the International Organization for Migration (IOM) to enhance safe and regulated migration pathways for skilled human resources.

The appeal was made today as the new IOM Chief of Mission to Bangladesh, Lance Bonneau, presented his Letter of Credence at the foreign ministry, according to an official press release.

Welcoming Bonneau, the foreign affairs adviser highlighted the significance of developing comprehensive databases for job seekers and leveraging digital tools to profile and match skills effectively.

Bonneau reiterated IOM’s commitment to safeguarding the integrity of regular migration, describing it as a cornerstone of the organization’s strategic priorities.

The adviser assured Bonneau of the foreign ministry's full cooperation in supporting IOM’s initiatives in Bangladesh.
