Dhaka, Jan 31 (V7N) – To facilitate the movement of devotees attending the Bishwa Ijtema, the Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) has announced six additional Metrorail trips during the event.

In a special announcement on Friday, the DMTCL stated that these extra services aim to ensure smooth and comfortable travel for religious devotees and general passengers during one of the largest Islamic gatherings in the world.

The first phase of the Bishwa Ijtema officially began on Friday morning with a sermon by Maulana Ziaul Haque of Bangladesh after the Fajr prayers. The event will continue until Sunday (February 2), concluding with the final prayer.

DMTCL also extended its congratulations and best wishes to all devotees and passengers participating in the event.

With millions of worshippers expected to attend, transportation authorities, law enforcement, and volunteers are working to ensure the smooth movement of people during the Ijtema period.
