Dhaka, Feb 10 (V7N) – The Police Headquarters (PHQ) reported that 1,521 individuals were arrested on Monday as part of the ongoing nationwide anti-crime operation, Operation Devil Hunt.
Among them, 1,178 were wanted in various criminal cases, while 343 were detained directly under the operation.
In the preceding two days, Saturday and Sunday, forces had already arrested 1,308 suspects across the country.
During Monday’s operation, law enforcement seized a cache of weapons, including one foreign-made pistol, two magazines, 17 bullets (six shotgun cartridges), three knives, three swords, one axe, 10 crude bombs, eight sticks, four iron rods, and four machetes (ramdas).
Operation Devil Hunt was officially launched on Saturday as part of intensified security efforts to combat crime nationwide.
