Dhaka, Feb 17 (V7N) – The Bangladesh Coast Guard is playing a vital role in ensuring coastal security, disaster management, and public trust, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

Speaking as the chief guest at the 30th founding anniversary celebration in Agargaon, Dhaka, on Monday, he praised the force’s dedication and confidence in carrying out its duties.

As part of the ceremony, General Jahangir Alam received a salute from the Coast Guard as a disciplined force.

Additionally, he presented medals to 40 Coast Guard members in four categories, recognizing their bravery and service-oriented contributions to national security and maritime safety.
