Sirajganj, Feb 21 (V7N) – Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus has urged citizens to remain vigilant so that no dictatorial government can return to Bangladesh.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the 7th National Comdecker of National Scout Training-2, held at the hard point of Sirajganj City Defense Dam on Thursday afternoon, Dr. Yunus reflected on the sacrifices made during the July 24 mass uprising that led to the fall of the previous regime.

"Hundreds of students, youth, and teenagers shed their blood for freedom. Their sacrifice has not been in vain. The doors of new possibilities have opened in this country," Dr. Yunus said in a video message at the event.

July Revolution and Its Lasting Impact

Dr. Yunus emphasized the historical significance of the July 24 revolution, noting that the graffiti, bloody streets, and slogans of that movement still resonate with the people of Bangladesh.

"The oppressive policies of the dictatorial government took the lives of many young people," he said. "But their sacrifice has not only reshaped politics but has also influenced our culture and society."
