Dhaka, Mar 06 (V7N) – Shipping and Labor & Employment Advisor Brigadier General (Retd) Dr. M. Sakhawat Hossain has warned that any launch breaking the serial order will face license suspension, regardless of the owner's influence.

He made this statement on Thursday (March 6) during a preparatory meeting at the Secretariat with stakeholders regarding waterway safety for Eid-ul-Fitr 2025.

During the discussion, he noted that launch operators are currently charging lower fares due to a passenger crisis. However, they promised to adhere to fixed fares before and after Eid and will finalize a new fare chart within a day or two. If any launch overcharges passengers, its route permit will be canceled or suspended.
