The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has announced plans to set up 30 sale points across the capital to provide milk, eggs, meat, and fish at affordable prices during the month of Ramadan.

Under this initiative, liquid milk will be priced at Tk 80 per litre, beef at Tk 600 per kg, mutton at Tk 900 per kg, dressed broiler at Tk 250 per kg, and eggs at Tk 9.17 per piece. Fisheries and Livestock Minister Md. Abdur Rahman disclosed these details during a conference held at the Department of Livestock Services.

The program will operate from 25 locations in the capital during the first to the 28th of Ramadan. Additionally, five more points will be established at permanent markets in the city. The locations include Natun Bazar (Badda), Korail slum (Banani), Khamarbari (Farmgate), Azimpur Matrisadan (Azimpur), Gabtoli, Diabari (Uttara), Japan Garden City (Mohammadpur), and others.

The sale will be facilitated through well-equipped pickup cool vans, which will arrive at each center by 9 am, with sales commencing at 10 am.

Furthermore, the Department of Fisheries will sell fish at designated spots in Dhaka North City Corporation and Dhaka South City Corporation. The sale will occur from 10 am to 3 pm daily for 15 days starting March 11.
