In Cox's Bazar, there is a horrible fire at Kutupalong Camp No. 5 of Ukhia. After nearly two hours of work, eight fire department units were able to contain the fire by 3 pm after learning of it. Atish Chakma, the in-charge of Cox's Bazar Fire Station, verified this information.
Saturday, January 6, at 1:00 p.m., Camp No. 5 in Ukhia experienced a fire.
The Rohingyas believe the fire to be a sabotage attempt.
Helal Uddin, a local resident of Kutupalong camp area and member of the Rajapalong Union Parishad, stated that the fire department contained the blaze. He added that he was unable to determine the true source of the fire right away. Ordinary Rohingyas, however, believe that the fire was intentionally set out.
