Today marks the beginning of Ramadan for Muslims in Bangladesh, signifying the start of a sacred month dedicated to self-purification through fasting and profound spiritual reflection.

The official confirmation of the moon sighting on Monday by the National Moon Sighting Committee solidifies the commencement of Ramadan in the country.

During Ramadan, Muslims observe fasting from dawn until dusk, refraining from food, drink, and other physical desires throughout daylight hours, showcasing their discipline and devotion.

Lailatul Qadr, the Night of Power, holds immense spiritual significance and blessings, and it will be observed on April 6th.

This decision was made following a meeting at the conference room of the Islamic Foundation at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque. Ramadan provides Muslims worldwide with an opportunity for spiritual growth and introspection.
