Bangladesh Railway is set to initiate the sale of advance train tickets ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr starting this Sunday. The tickets will be exclusively available for purchase through the Bangladesh Railway's website (https://eticket.railway.gov.bd) and mobile application, commencing at 8 a.m.

Tickets for April 3 will go on sale on March 24, while tickets for April 4 to April 9 will be available for purchase on March 25 through March 30, respectively. Sardar Shahadat Ali, acting director-general of the BR, disclosed this information during a press conference at Rail Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday.

All tickets will be accessible online, with the sale for trains heading towards the western zone commencing at 8 a.m. and those for east-bound trains beginning from 2 p.m. This year marks the first time Bangladesh Railway will offer a 7-day advance ticket sale, departing from the previous practice of selling 5-day tickets during Eid. The decision aims to streamline ticket procurement, with 100% of tickets being sold online to ensure a hassle-free experience for passengers.

Additionally, the sale of return train tickets for April 13 will commence from April 3 onwards.
