Dhaka, Nov 09 (V7N) — The interim government has appointed new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in 15 districts across Bangladesh. The Ministry of Public Administration issued the official notification late on Saturday night.
Among the transfers, Ahmed Kamrul Hasan, previously DC of Bagerhat, has been posted to Noakhali; Abu Hasnat Mohammad Arefin from Kushtia to Habiganj; Md. Azad Jahan from Bhola to Gazipur; Mohammad Shafiul Alam from Barguna to Dhaka; Muhammad Nazrul Islam from Sirajganj to Gaibandha; and Md. Taufiqur Rahman from Khulna to Bogura.
In other appointments, Sondwip Kumar Singh, CEO of Sylhet District Council, has been posted to Barguna; Md. Aminul Islam, Secretary (Deputy Secretary) of Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, to Sirajganj; Md. Abdullah Al Mahmud, Private Secretary to Trade Adviser, to Magura; Abu Saeed, Deputy Secretary of Ministry of Home Affairs, to Pirojpur; Miz Afroza Akhter, Zonal Settlement Officer of Land Records and Survey Department, to Satkhira; Golam Md. Baten, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Local Government in Feni, to Bagerhat; S.M. Jamshed Khondkar, Private Secretary to Chief Adviser (Ministry of Post, Telecommunications and IT), to Khulna; Md. Iqbal Hossain, Director of Capital Development Authority, to Kushtia; and Dr. Shamim Rahman, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division, to Bhola.
The reshuffle reflects the interim government’s ongoing administrative adjustments to ensure effective governance across districts.
