Chattogram, Nov 09 (V7N) — Pakistan Navy ship PNS Saif arrived at Chattogram Port on Saturday for a four-day goodwill visit to Bangladesh. Upon arrival, the ship was warmly received by Chief Staff Officer of the Commander Chattogram Naval Area on behalf of the Bangladesh Navy. A ceremonial band of the Bangladesh Navy performed traditional tunes to welcome the visiting crew.

According to a press release from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), senior naval officers, along with representatives from the Pakistan High Commission in Dhaka, attended the welcoming ceremony. Earlier, upon entering Bangladesh’s maritime boundary, the visiting vessel was greeted by Bangladesh Navy ship BNS Swadhinata.

During its stay in Bangladesh, the commanding officer and senior officials of PNS Saif are scheduled to pay courtesy calls on the Commander of Chattogram Naval Area, Commander of the Bangladesh Navy Fleet, and the Area Superintendent Dockyard.

The officers, sailors, and trainees from PNS Saif will also visit various historical and cultural sites in Chattogram, as well as Bangladesh Navy ships and bases. In turn, Bangladesh Navy personnel will tour the Pakistani naval vessel.

Officials expressed optimism that this goodwill visit will further strengthen the existing friendly and bilateral naval relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan. PNS Saif is expected to depart Bangladesh on November 12 after completing its official engagements.
