Dhaka, Dec 10 (V7N)- Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refaat Ahmed has acknowledged the significant role of media workers in advocating for a separate secretariat for the judiciary. The Supreme Court Secretariat is set to be inaugurated tomorrow.

Dr. Ahmed made the remarks on Wednesday afternoon when members of the Supreme Court Reporters Forum (SRF) paid a courtesy call on him.

“The media commissioners have highlighted the importance of establishing a separate secretariat to the people of the country through various reports,” he said. “They have created awareness among the public. Without the cooperation of the media, establishing a separate secretariat would not have been possible.”

During the visit, as the Supreme Court Secretariat’s journey officially began, the SRF Executive Committee presented the Chief Justice with a crest and offered floral greetings in recognition of the occasion.
