Jamalpur, Feb 27 (V7N) — State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M Rashiduzzaman Millat said that reopening airports that were closed during the previous government’s tenure could make national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines profitable and help reduce ticket prices. He made the remarks during an exchange of views with journalists at the Jamalpur District Administration Hall on Friday (February 27).
The State Minister said that all government promises will be implemented gradually, citing the waiver of Tk 10,000 in agricultural loans as an example.
Millat also noted that many facilities and infrastructures across the country are fragile, damaged, and affected by corruption, and he requested time to renovate them. He further assured support for ensuring justice in the murder case of Jamalpur journalist Nadim.
Jamalpur-3 constituency MP Mostafizur Rahman Babul, Deputy Commissioner Md. Yusuf Ali, District Police Superintendent Dr. Chowdhury Md. Jaber Sadek, and other officials were present at the event.
