Dhaka, Mar 08 (V7N) – Advance train ticket sales for Eid-ul-Fitr travel continued for the sixth consecutive day on Sunday, aiming to ensure smooth journeys for people returning home to celebrate the festival. According to Bangladesh Railway, passengers purchasing tickets today will be able to travel on intercity trains on March 18.
To reduce passenger suffering and long queues, 100 percent of tickets are being sold online, as in previous years.
Ticket Sales Schedule
To reduce server pressure and facilitate passengers, ticket sales have been divided into two phases:

Western region trains: Ticket sales began at 8:00 am.

Eastern region trains: Tickets will be available from 2:00 pm.
Passengers can purchase tickets through the Bangladesh Railway website and mobile application.
Ticket Purchase and Refund Rules
According to railway guidelines:

Each passenger can purchase only one ticket per ID.

A maximum of four seats can be booked under a single ID.

Eid special tickets are non-refundable.
For passengers who fail to obtain confirmed tickets, 25 percent of non-AC coach standing tickets will be sold from the starting station before departure.
Return Ticket Sales After Eid
Bangladesh Railway also announced that return ticket sales after Eid will begin on March 13, when tickets for March 23 travel will be available.
Subsequent sales will follow this schedule:

Authorities reiterated that each passenger can purchase tickets only once per ID, with a maximum of four seats, and no refunds will be allowed for Eid travel tickets.
