According to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD), the current heatwave is expected to persist over various parts of Bangladesh, including Rajshahi, Pabna, Bagerhat, Jessore, Chuadanga, and Kushtia. Additionally, mild to moderate heatwaves are sweeping through Dhaka, Rangpur, and Barisal divisions, along with parts of Rajshahi and Khulna divisions, as well as the district of Moulvibazar.

Meteorologist Hafizur Rahman explained that while the heatwave will continue unchanged, some areas may experience a slight drop in temperature due to rainfall activity. However, he noted that this drop would not impact regions without rainfall.

The BMD forecasts rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty or squally winds, in one or two places across Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barisal, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions, with isolated occurrences of hail. The weather is expected to remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies elsewhere in the country. Day and night temperatures are forecasted to remain relatively stable nationwide.

The bulletin also warns of increased discomfort due to moisture incursion. Additionally, a trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjacent areas, while a seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
