Teknaf border in Cox's Bazar, 88 more Border Guard Police (BGP) personnel from Myanmar have escaped to Bangladesh due to ongoing conflict in Myanmar.
Myanmar BGP through various points of the Naf river at the Teknaf border entered. on Sunday 5 May.
Eyewitnesses said that the Myanmar BGP members who were brought in a wooden trawler were taken into custody by the Coast Guard and kept at the Coast Guard Station office at Keruntali in Teknaf. There are at least 88 BGP members. A few buses are also waiting next to the Coast Guard Station office in Teknaf.

Earlier, the government sent back 618 members of various security forces of Myanmar, who had taken shelter in Bangladesh in recent weeks, to their own country in two times.
