According to the forecast from the meteorological office, a mild to moderate heatwave is currently sweeping over eight divisions in Bangladesh. The affected divisions include Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet. The heatwave is expected to continue in these areas.

The forecast also mentions that rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur at one or two places in the Sylhet division, with isolated hails. However, the weather is expected to remain mainly dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky in other parts of the country.

The day and night temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged across the country. However, due to an increase in moisture incursion, the discomfort from the heat may persist.
