Sheikh Hasina appointed her six advisers and assembled a 37-member cabinet on January 11, 2024, following her resounding victory in the general election on January7.
The Prime Minister has reappointed Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed as his unpaid advisor on information and communication technology (ICT).
Salman Fazlur Rahman, Maj. Gen. (retd) Tarique Ahmed Siddique, Dr. Mashiur Rahman, Dr. Gowher Rizvi, Dr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, and Dr. Kamal Abdul Naser Chowdhury are the six advisers.
Five other people, excluding Kamal Abdul Naser, served as advisors to the prime minister in her prior role.
Prior to the national election, on November 29, 2023, Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed, better known as Sajeeb Wazed Joy, resigned from his position as the PM's ICT adviser.
This was announced in a gazette notice signed by the Prime Minister's Office's Director General (Administration), Mohd Ahsan Kibria Siddiqui, today (Sunday). The PM's Assistant Press Secretary, MM Emrul Kayas.
