The activities of the second day of the first phase of Vishwa Ijtema are going on on the banks of Turag river in Tongir. The organizers have arranged for dowry-free marriages in the ongoing Ijtema after Asr prayers on Saturday (February 3). Ijtema authorities have confirmed that a total of 72 dowry-free marriages have been completed so far.

Maulana Abdur Rahman, India's top recited the prayer in Hindi after the Fajr prayer. His speech was translated into Bengali by Maulana Matin.

Lakhs of worshipers have been staying in the Ijtema Maidan for the past few days in winter. The pilgrims who participated in the Ijtema are listening to various sermons and speeches in the hope of self-purification and liberation in the next life.

Maulana Ismail Godhra will speak after the Zohar prayer. After the Asr prayer, the dowry-free marriage is arranged by the organizers. A total of 72 marriages were completed there according to Sharia.

Meanwhile, three more worshipers died at Ijtema Maidan last night. A total of 7 worshipers have died since the start of Ijtema.

Incidentally, the first phase of Ijtema will end on Sunday (February 4) with the last prayer. On the other hand, the second phase of Ijtema will start on February 9.
