The forces of the Myanmar Spring Revolution, along with various civil society organizations, have jointly sent a letter congratulating Bangladesh on the successful student movement that recently took place.

The letter also extended congratulations and best wishes to the interim government led by Nobel laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, urging collaboration between Bangladesh's interim government, the National Unity Government, and Myanmar's ethnic resistance organizations to promote democratic and human rights.

"We acknowledge and appreciate the unwavering efforts of student and youth groups, as well as the broader public in Bangladesh, who have tirelessly championed democracy, human rights, freedom of expression, and civil liberties," the letter stated.

The letter further emphasized that the dedication and activism of these groups were instrumental in achieving the recent resignation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. This milestone represents a significant advance, and the Myanmar groups celebrated the commitment of Bangladesh's people to fundamental rights and democratic principles.

Expressing their support for the interim government under Dr. Yunus, the letter added: "We are hopeful that they will effectively manage the critical responsibilities they have assumed and successfully guide the nation during this crucial transitional period."

The letter also called on the interim government to work closely with Myanmar's National Unity Government and ethnic resistance organizations, paying tribute to the over 500 students, youth, and civilians who lost their lives in the Myanmar Spring Revolution.

According to the letter, the Myanmar Spring Revolution forces are committed to holding those responsible for past abuses accountable and to ensuring justice is upheld.

"Likewise, we hope that Bangladesh’s independence leaders will continue their efforts to secure justice for the many victims of violence and repression, including students, journalists, and human rights activists who have suffered persecution. We wish them ongoing success in promoting democracy, human rights, and freedoms," it concluded.

The letter also mentioned that Myanmar’s revolution forces have drawn significant lessons from the non-violent movements led by students, laborers, farmers, and the public in both Myanmar and Bangladesh.
