Fifteen years after the 2009 Pilkhana massacre in Dhaka, which resulted in the deaths of 57 military officers and 17 civilians, the families of the victims are still demanding justice. At a press conference in Dhaka’s Mohakhali area on Saturday, they urged the interim government to take decisive action, including publishing investigation reports and forming an Inquiry Commission to uncover the truth behind the killings.

The families, led by individuals who lost loved ones in the massacre, expressed frustration over the lack of progress in achieving justice. Rakin Ahmed, son of Major General Shakil Ahmed, accused prominent political figures of involvement and called for a proper investigation. The families outlined three key demands: the publication of all investigation reports, the formation of an Inquiry Commission, and the recognition of February 25 as “Shaheed Shena Dibosh” to honor the fallen officers.
