The 57th Biswa Ijtema's first phase has come to an end, and the second phase has begun. The government has officially taken over the venue from the primary organizers of the first phase to begin the second.
On Tuesday, February 6th, at 2:00 pm, representatives of the first phase officially handed over the Biswa Ijtema grounds and materials to Abul Fate Mohammad Safiqul Islam, the Gazipur District Commissioner, at the central coordination center of Biswa Ijtema-2024.
Then, at approximately 3 p.m., the Gazipur District Commissioner formally transferred the duty of coordinating the Biswa Ijtema's second phase.
Deputy Commissioner Abul Fateh Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said, "We have successfully completed the field handover process in a peaceful manner," after the handover procedure. Even though the formal transfer is scheduled for Monday, we have been working hard to get ready on the ground. After addressing a number of concerns, we have largely resolved them; only a few minor inconsistencies remain. I formally transferred the field in writing to the second party on Tuesday."
Thank God, we have evaluated the field in its entirety, leader Abdus Salam told reporters after making his assessment. Even though there are a few small problems, I'm sure the administration can help us solve them. In addition to the numerous foreign visitors who have already come, Wednesday night is anticipated to see the arrival of pilgrims from all over the nation.
It is evident that the field is now empty, with paper, plastic, and other trash strewn all over the place.
This year, the Biswa Ijtema is being held separately again because of a controversy that is highly contentious inside the Tabligh Jamaat.
On Sunday, the last prayer brought the first phase to an end. The second part, which is intended for Maulana Saad Kandhalvi's followers, is slated to begin on Friday, February 9 and culminate with the closing prayer on February 11th, which would bring the 57th Biswa Ijtema to a close.
