Dhaka, September 03- The Chief Advisor of the interim government, Muhammad Yunus, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Bangladesh national cricket team for their historic Test series victory against Pakistan on Pakistani soil. 

On Tuesday afternoon, Dr. Yunus personally called the team captain, Nazmul Hossain Shanto, to commend him and the team for their outstanding performance. According to a press release from the Chief Advisor's office, Dr. Yunus conveyed his pride in the team's achievement, stating, "Congratulations on behalf of the government and myself. The whole nation is proud of you."

The Chief Advisor also announced plans to host a reception for the Bangladesh cricket team upon their return home, in recognition of their remarkable success.

The Bangladesh cricket team secured a commanding 2-0 victory in the two-match Test series held in Rawalpindi, defeating Pakistan by 6 wickets in the second Test. This victory marks a significant milestone for Bangladesh cricket, as it is the first time the team has won a Test match and series against Pakistan on their home ground since attaining Test status 24 years ago. It also represents the third Test series win for Bangladesh outside their home country, following victories against the West Indies and Zimbabwe.
