Dhaka, Oct 06 (V7N) – The price of gold has surged once again in the country’s market, reaching the highest level in Bangladesh’s history.
The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) on Monday (October 6) announced a Tk 3,150 increase per bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold, bringing the new price to Tk 127,726 per bhori.
The updated rates will come into effect from Tuesday (October 7), according to a notification signed by Masudur Rahman, Chairman of the BAJUS Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring.
The statement said the adjustment was made in response to a rise in the local market price of pure gold, noting that the new price was determined after considering the overall economic situation.
This marks the highest gold price ever recorded in Bangladesh, reflecting both the global uptrend in bullion prices and local market dynamics.
