The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a significant reduction of Tk49 in the price of 12-kilogram liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinders, bringing it down from Tk1,442 to Tk1,393.
This announcement, made by the BERC on Thursday afternoon, will come into effect from the evening, providing relief to consumers.
The revised retail price of LPG now stands at Tk116 per kg, inclusive of VAT, at the consumer level. Additionally, LPG supplied in liquid form through the reticulated system will be priced at Tk112 per kg.
Autogas, another variant, has been fixed at Tk63.92 at the consumer level.
This reduction follows a previous adjustment in April when the BERC lowered the price of 12kg cylinders by Tk40, setting it at Tk1,442.
