Dhaka, Dec 21 (V7N) — Efforts to support the July Memorial Foundation are in full swing, with the 'Spirit of July Concert' set to take place today at the Bangladesh Army Stadium. The concert, featuring globally renowned musician Rahat Fateh Ali Khan alongside prominent local bands, aims to raise funds for the families of those killed or injured during the July-August uprising.

The event, organized by Skytracker Limited and supported by Dhaka University students, will donate all proceeds to the July Shahid Smriti Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to aiding affected families. To facilitate the concert, special traffic arrangements and toll exemptions have been announced.

According to a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md. Sajjat Ali and a press release by ISPR:

The expressway ramps at Airport, Kuril, and Banani will remain toll-free from 2 PM to 11 PM.

Air passengers with valid flight tickets can access the airport via Jahangir Gate and CMH through Zia Colony.

Ambulances carrying patients will receive priority on the same route.

In a bid to maximize the funds raised, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has exempted all VAT and supplementary duties on ticket sales and venue use. A special order issued by First Secretary (VAT Implementation) Mohammad Ariful Islam confirmed the tax benefits, ensuring that all proceeds directly benefit the cause.
