Dhaka, Jan 25 (V7N) — The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division filed 2,728 cases in just two days for traffic law violations in the capital. The operation, conducted on Thursday and Friday (January 24), also resulted in the dumping of 125 vehicles and the wrecking of 51 others.
The DMP's Media and Public Relations Department released this information in a press statement on Saturday. It highlighted that many of the accused individuals faced fines as part of the enforcement measures.
The traffic department’s ongoing drive aims to ensure discipline and compliance with traffic regulations in the Dhaka metropolitan area. The DMP has confirmed that such campaigns will continue to address traffic violations and improve road safety.
