Dhaka, Apr 17 (V7N) – In a commendable effort to restore public trust and service, the Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has recovered 251 mobile phones of various brands—lost, stolen, or snatched at different times—and returned them to their rightful owners.
According to officials, the recoveries were made over the past month by several police stations under the Tejgaon Division:

The recovered phones were officially handed over at a ceremony held at 11:00 AM on Thursday (April 17) at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office of the Tejgaon Division. The event was presided over by Deputy Commissioner Md. Ibne Mizan, with the presence of officers from different units of the division and representatives of various print and electronic media.
Emotional scenes unfolded as many recipients, overwhelmed with gratitude, received their phones. Several owners expressed heartfelt thanks, praising the swift and efficient efforts of the police.
The initiative not only underscores the DMP's proactive stance against petty crimes but also reflects a growing emphasis on community-focused policing and public service delivery.
