Dhaka’s Ongoing Air Pollution Struggles

Dhaka has long battled poor air quality, with pollution worsening in winter and improving during the monsoon season. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Bangladesh is measured based on five key pollutants:

Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5)

Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2)

Carbon Monoxide (CO)

Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)

Ozone (O3)

With pollution levels remaining high, health experts recommend residents limit outdoor activities and wearprotective masks when necessary.
