DHAKA, April 01, (V7N) –Although Dhaka has been overcast since morning, the weather forecast issued on Tuesday indicates no chance of rain.
The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reported that an extension of a low-pressure system stretches over West Bengal and surrounding areas, while the seasonal normal low-pressure system is positioned over the southern Bay of Bengal.
The forecast indicates that on Tuesday, only a few places in the Sylhet division may experience temporary gusty or stormy winds, lightning, or rain with thunderstorms.
Apart from that, the weather across the rest of the country is expected to remain mostly dry with partly cloudy skies, it added.
Temperatures across the country are likely to remain nearly unchanged during both the day and night, the forecast said.
BMD has given a similar forecast for Wednesday.
However, after this period, rain or thunderstorms may occur in the northern regions of the country, it said.
