Dhaka, July 22, (V7N) – The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting rain across the country over the coming days, with heavy rainfall expected in four divisions.

Assistant Meteorologist Afroza Sultana said on Tuesday that light to moderate rain and thunderstorms accompanied by temporary gusty winds may occur in parts of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet divisions within the next 24 hours. Some areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barisal divisions may also experience similar weather.

Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected in some places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet.

The meteorological office further predicts that from 9 a.m. Wednesday, rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds will affect many parts of Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chittagong, and Sylhet, with moderate to heavy rains in some locations.

This rainy pattern is forecast to continue with varying intensity through the week, with possible very heavy rainfall from Friday (July 25) and Saturday (July 26) particularly in Khulna, Barisal, and Chittagong divisions.

Daytime temperatures may slightly fluctuate, with slight decreases expected towards the weekend, while night temperatures are likely to remain nearly steady.

The Meteorological Department warns that the rainfall trend may persist for the next five days.
