A country may have a brief period of partly overcast skies along with dry weather: BMD

Parts of Bangladesh are experiencing a mild cold wave that is disrupting people's daily lives. Those who work as day labourers, children, and the elderly are the most affected.

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) reports that a mild cold wave is currently affecting portions of the country and could last for two to three more days. This information is contained in their regular weather bulletin.

The BMD forecast is, "A mild cold wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, and Chuadanga, and it may abate from certain places."

According to the bulletin, the nation's lowest temperature today was 8.5 degrees Celsius in Dinajpur, while the highest temperature was recorded at 26.8 degrees Celsius in Teknaf.

A light cold wave is defined as 8 to 10 degrees Celsius, a moderate cold wave as 6 to 8 degrees Celsius, and a severe cold wave as less than 6 degrees Celsius.

Over the nation, moderate to dense fog is possible from midnight until the morning and in some locations, it may last until noon. Fog may cause temporary disruptions to air navigation, inland river transport, and road communication, the alert states.

The country may have a brief period of partly overcast skies along with dry weather.

Over the nation, nighttime temperatures may marginally increase while daytime temperatures might essentially stay the same. The advisory states that cold day conditions are expected to prevail in several parts of the nation.

For the past few days, the country's citizens—particularly those in the north—have been dealing with bone-chilling cold, which has completely disrupted daily life.
