In the face of Cyclone Remal, the Coast Guard members in Mongla have conducted vigilant micings. On Saturday (May 25), from the morning, extensive micings were conducted in various places of Mongla's hinterland.

Lieutenant Mohsin Ibne Mohsin, a media officer of Mongla Coast Guard Western Zone, stated that Coast Guard members have been conducting awareness-raising micings in various risky areas of the Sundarbans Laghuwa Mongla hinterland since morning.

Due to the formation of a minor depression in the Bay of Bengal, distant cautionary signals have been displayed at the country's seaports. With the possibility of intensifying into a cyclone, there is a risk of impact in the hinterland due to Cyclone Remal. Therefore, to prevent harm to the general public, proactive micings have been initiated.

Regarding this, Lieutenant Mohsin Ibne Mohsin of Mongla Coast Guard said, "A minor depression has formed in the Bay of Bengal. As a result, a distant cautionary signal has been displayed at the seaport."

A premonition of transformation into a cyclone has been observed gradually due to the low pressure created in the southwest Bay of Bengal. To protect the people, fishermen, and naval forces of the coastal area from such natural disasters, Bangladesh Coast Guard Western Zone is conducting awareness-raising activities in the coastal areas through proactive measures.

Furthermore, to increase awareness, stations and outposts of Bangladesh Coast Guard are conducting micings and distributing leaflets in this extensive area of the Sundarbans hinterland. In the face of the dangerous situation of cyclones, everyone is being made aware of the preparation for sheltering at nearby cyclone shelter stations.
